This is a founding-team position. You will be among the first employees of Cannamedical Britannia — the UK arm of the Semdor Pharma Group — and will report directly to the group board.
The Role
As Country Manager UK, you will own the complete UK market entry for Cannamedical Britannia. This is a rare opportunity to build a business from the ground up within an established European pharmaceutical group that already serves 120,000+ patients across multiple markets.
You will establish and lead the London-based team, define go-to-market strategy, build relationships with MHRA, NHS commissioners, leading prescribing clinics, and pharmacy groups — all while driving towards our Q1 2027 commercial launch milestone.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full UK market entry strategy — commercial, regulatory, and operational
- Build, hire, and manage the Cannamedical Britannia London team (initial founding team of 3, scaling to 10+)
- Own UK P&L from pre-revenue through to commercial scale
- Develop and maintain relationships with MHRA and key regulatory stakeholders
- Build strategic partnerships with leading UK private prescribing clinics and clinic groups
- Establish dispensing pharmacy network partnerships (target: 200+ UK pharmacies by end of Year 1)
- Represent Cannamedical Britannia at industry conferences, medical events, and with media
- Work closely with the Semdor Pharma Group board and international team on UK-specific product needs
- Drive brand positioning as the leading pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis supplier in the UK
What You Bring
Must-Have
- 7+ years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated medical sectors in the UK
- Proven experience owning a P&L and leading a commercial team
- Strong network within UK private healthcare, prescribing clinics, or pharmacy groups
- Deep understanding of UK healthcare regulation (MHRA, NHS, Schedule 2 controlled substances)
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building from zero, not just managing existing structures
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in the UK medical cannabis sector
- Existing relationships with MHRA, NHS commissioners, or major pharmacy groups
- Experience scaling a business from pre-revenue to commercial launch
- German language skills (working with Semdor Group HQ)
