Licensed Medical Cannabis Dispensing in the UK
Once you have a valid prescription for medical cannabis from a specialist consultant, you will need to have it dispensed by a pharmacy licensed to handle Schedule 2 controlled drugs in the United Kingdom. Not all pharmacies are equipped to dispense medical cannabis — this page will help you find one near you.
What is a Schedule 2 Pharmacy?
Under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, medical cannabis is classified as a Schedule 2 controlled drug. Pharmacies wishing to dispense Schedule 2 products must hold the appropriate licence, maintain detailed controlled drug registers, and follow strict storage and dispensing protocols as specified by the Home Office and MHRA.
