You will be Cannamedical Britannia's frontline ambassador — the face of the brand with UK clinicians, clinic groups, and dispensing pharmacies. Your relationships drive patient access.
The Role
The Business Developer is the commercial engine of Cannamedical Britannia's UK launch. You will build and own the relationships with UK prescribing clinics, clinical professionals, and dispensing pharmacies that generate prescriptions for Cannamedical Britannia products.
This is a high-autonomy role where you will develop your own outreach strategy, build a pipeline of clinic and pharmacy partnerships, and work closely with the Country Manager UK and the Semdor Group international sales team to deliver on commercial launch targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and develop partnerships with UK private prescribing clinics specialising in medical cannabis
- Build relationships with GMC-registered specialist consultants — pain medicine, psychiatry, neurology
- Develop and manage a pipeline of dispensing pharmacy partnerships across the UK
- Present Cannamedical Britannia's formulary, quality standards, and clinical documentation to prescribers
- Represent Cannamedical Britannia at medical conferences, clinic events, and CPD sessions
- Gather and relay prescriber feedback to inform product prioritisation and formulary decisions
- Support the production of clinical materials, formulary guides, and COA documentation for prescribers
- Build and maintain a CRM of UK clinical contacts, prescribing volumes, and partnership status
- Work towards Year 1 targets: 50+ active prescribing clinic relationships, 200+ dispensing pharmacies
What You Bring
Must-Have
- 3+ years of business development, clinical sales, or partnerships experience in UK healthcare or pharmaceuticals
- Existing relationships with UK private clinics, specialist consultants, or pharmacy groups (strongly preferred)
- Ability to communicate complex clinical and pharmaceutical information clearly to medical professionals
- Track record of building pipelines, hitting targets, and managing complex B2B relationships
- Self-starter — comfortable working independently, managing your own diary and targets
- Strong understanding of the UK private healthcare landscape
Nice to Have
- Direct experience in the UK medical cannabis sector — clinic, pharmacy, or supplier side
- Existing network of prescribing specialists in pain, psychiatry, or neurology
- Understanding of Schedule 2 controlled substances and MHRA regulatory framework
- Experience with EU-GMP certified pharmaceutical products
